As the Vendor Master Data Specialist, you will be responsible ensuring accurate high quality of vendor master data within our ERP and dependent systems. Validating the completeness and correctness of inbound supplier set up requests in a timely fashion. Maintaining the ongoing maintenance of vendor master data ensuring supporting documentation and storage of information complies with corporate requirements across the CDW UK Group.

 

What you’ll do:

  • Handle standard requests for Vendor Master Data, mainly originating from sales teams but also from other departments in the business
  • Resolving issues identified during both on boarding of new data and with existing data
  • Escalate complex requests to Procurement and Supplier Management teams alongside other key internal depts.
  • Responsible for responding to first level trouble shooting of Master Data issues
  • Ongoing management of existing vendor master data and reporting on established KPIs
  • Ownership of annual supplier check/verification process
  • Ensuring accuracy, validation and proper storage of banking information
  • Meeting or exceeding Service Level Agreements regarding timeliness of processing vendor data requests
  • Identification and support of vendor data cleansing activities
  • Responsible for the creating, maintaining and improving procedure documents and cross-training peers on all relevant processes.
  • To carry out any other ad-hoc duties, as and when required
  • Identification and appropriate follow up of opportunities for increased accuracy, efficiencies, standardisation and rationalisation of vendor master data
  • Analysis and identification of opportunities to ensure corporate policy and governance is adhered to

What you need to succeed:

Must-have:

  • Experience of an ERP environment is essential
  • Relevant degree in Supply Chain, IT or equivalent experience
  • An autonomous self-starter who has the ability to manage their own workload, meeting ever changing business needs
  • Analytical mind-set with proven experience of problem-solving and process improvement
  • Ability to manage both internal and external stakeholder expectations
  • Consistently demonstrates willingness to overcome challenges, whilst ensuring quality standards are met / exceeded in order to drive results
  • As an active member of a team you will be able to share knowledge and experience to aid colleagues and support continuous improvement
  • Comfortable working in a fast paced environment and managing large volumes of information and requests
  • Good knowledge of intermediate/advanced MS Excel
  • Driving process improvements, analysing business processes and developing solutions that will improve performance and results
  • Understanding the financial and operational impacts of decisions made
