Storage Skills:

• Primary storage skills: NetApp, EMC and IBM including Brocade SAN Switches, Purestorage Flasharray / FlashBlade
• Storage Technologies: EMC Clarion, EMC VNX, Netapp-7Mode, NetApp - CMode. IBM DS 4K, 8K, V7000 series.
• Storage Management Software: Unisphere, Data ONTAP 8.3 & 9, IBM system storage manager 10.
• Backup Management Software: Sympana Administrative Console, Data protection manager.
• Switch/ Directors: Brocade, Knowledge on Cisco.
• Operating Systems: Windows and Linux Flavors
• Project Management Tools: Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft OneNote

Role and Responsibilities

• Storage Domain, NAS, SAN, Storage, System Administration, NetApp Performance Tuning, Storage Administration, Performance Monitoring, Disk fault
• iSCSI/NFS/CIFS/SAN technologies
• Storage Based Replication technology (Global Mirror/SRDF/SnapMirror/RecoverPoint, etc.)
• Unisphere, PowerPath, Solutions Enabler, Open Replicator / Migrator, AppSync and other EMC software experience
• NetApp FAS series (7 & C Mode) and E series advanced concepts of Data ONTAP
• Strong knowledge on Clustering and High Availability
• Expertise in Configuring and troubleshooting snap mirror, snap vault
• In-depth knowledge on troubleshooting CIFS and NFS share/ access issues
• Experience on SAN storage provisioning, LUN masking and zoning all other daily operational tasks on storage is mandatory along with experience on Storage capacity planning, performance analysis, monitoring, reporting.
• Design and implement NetApp storage systems, including installation, configuration, software upgrades, and storage provisioning.
• Upgrades, and maintenance of switches.
• Create and maintain system scripts and programs to support the operations of the storage systems.
• Experience on SAN storage provisioning, LUN masking and zoning all other daily operational tasks on storage is mandatory along with experience on Storage capacity planning, performance analysis, monitoring, reporting.
• Experience in ServiceNow ticketing tools
• Diagnose and troubleshoot NetApp storage software issues
• Reproduce issues by re-creating scenarios in a lab environment
• Diagnose and troubleshoot TCP/IP networking issues
• Provide Technical Support 24x7 on-call /email/ chat support.

Education/Qualifications        

• Educated to Bachelor’s degree level in BE/ B. Tech/ M. Tech/ M.Sc./ MCA or a related discipline, from an accredited college or university.
• ITIL Certification
• Any storage certifications are preferable (IBM, NetApp, EMC, etc., Purestorage)
