JOB SUMMARY

To be the primary Asset Management contact for a large government customer, ensuring daily CMDB updates take place accurately within SLA and contractual reports are produced when required. Ensure that established policies, processes and procedures are followed, and service levels are maintained. Assist the Lead IT Asset Management Analyst with the operation of the Asset Management function.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Accurate data entry into customers CMDB.
  • Generate and distribute various reports, including compliance reports on current assets and their status.
  • Attend customer meetings when required.
  • Understand and manage IT Asset Disposals.
  • Manage inventory of assets as they compare to the CMDB, including dependencies and attributes, making sure that installations, move and changes are correctly recorded in the centralised CMDB.
  • Support and implement policies, systems, processes, and standards related to how IT assets are managed controlled and protected, on a daily and a long-term basis.
  • Perform verification and audit to validate content and initiate corrective actions as required.

QUALIFICATIONS, KILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Experience of working with a CMDB and working with asset information.
  • Some knowledge of IT Service Management and how Asset Management interacts with the different functions.
  • Good knowledge of MS Excel.
