Role Responsibilities • Works with clients on assigned projects to deliver IT solutions. • Operates in a technical capacity on projects where requested to provide advice and guidance on a proposed solution or assistance towards a resolution where issues have occurred. • On behalf of a client and CDW, takes responsibility for ensuring that assigned projects are executed and completed within agreed time, quality, scope and costs parameters and that an appropriate level of governance is applied to maintain and manage risks, changes and issues. • Continually ensuring client satisfaction and excellent client outcomes from project outset to completion. • Ensures personal objectives and set KPI targets are met or exceeded. • Proactively questions and evaluates existing systems, standards, documentation and procedures and makes recommendations for improvement. • Accountable for embracing and enhancing CDW’s brand, and that of Operations and Professional Services, inside and outside of CDW. • Work with and leverage the capabilities and support from Solutions, Sales, third-parties and other Professional Services resources to overcome the complexities of implementing solutions.
Typical Deliverables for the Role • Work collaboratively with co-workers in the Solutions, Projects, Consultancy, Sales and Resourcing teams. • Identification of risks and ability to support a project manager with mitigation plans. • Attendance and input at aligned project definition/design workshops. • Deliver commercial success while improving productivity and efficiency of technical implementations through recognition and delivery of quality, standardisation and adherence to governance. • Supporting delivery of customer technical projects and solutions. • Attendance and input to project/programme closure and lesson learned meetings. • Acting as team lead on client sites and projects • Liaise with other Junior team members/managers to resolve problems • Very hands on with physical installations of multiple vendors hardware • Customer site Network / Systems support
Knowledge & Experience • Holds, maintains and continues to develop industry-recognised technical relevance for core specialisations, through prior experience from being involved in delivering projects, holds or be working towards vendor certifications, technical training in one or more core technologies. • Desire and proven capability to deliver quality projects and outputs. • Is able to continually demonstrate strong skills in time-management, planning and all types of communication • Has commercial awareness, able to protect the interests of CDW in all aspects of professional services delivery. • Is able to continually demonstrate delivery of quality and consistency whilst delivering excellence and at the same time continuing to strive for improvement. • Understanding the importance of business processes and compliance • Flexibility - nationwide travel may be required • Good all round understanding of hardware maintenance/break-fix • A good theoretical and practical approach to diagnosing problems • Ability to work independently on a wide range of products
