Microsoft Software Licensing Consultant

Supporting Corporate Sales Teams with all Microsoft software solution and services sales motions, quotes and queries. This role is responsible for increasing the software Gross Profit contribution across allocated Sales Teams through multiple activities including; account mapping, gap analysis, proactive targeting, whitespace, tender/RFP responses and other ad-hoc tasks.  The candidate will develop relationships between CDW sellers, CDW customers and CDW overlay teams to ensure effective collaboration and maximum commercial leverage.

 

  • Act as a virtual team member of allocated sales teams and take responsibility for increasing their Microsoft Licencing Gross Profit.
  • Work with Account Managers to identify gaps in existing client base spend and proactively engage identified clients to generate opportunities and deals.
  • Attend client facing onsite or offsite meetings as and when required.
  • Generate and close new business opportunities.
  • On-Going Licence management for all existing aligned clients.
  • Effective reporting and analysis on Services attach to existing customer base.
  • Manage opportunities through CRM system from open to close (won/lost).
  • Accurate pipeline management and reporting.

Perform any other ad-hoc tasks as required.

 

What you need to succeed:

Must-have:

 

  • Educated to A-Level/GCSE or equivalent will be considered
  • Hold latest software sales and licensing accreditations or achieve within 3 months.
  • Working knowledge of all Microsoft products and services
  • Additional vendor accreditation desirable.
  • Understand the competitor landscape with vendors such as: Citrix, VMware, Adobe, Veritas, RedHat, Mimecast, ProofPoint and others
  • Keep fully abreast of the Microsoft Co-Sell landscape with vendors such as: Rubrik, Druva and others
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (intermediate/advanced Excel knowledge an advantage)
  • Experience responding to RFI & FRP requests desirable.
