The Account Manager is responsible for building a book of business through new business activity and or working in collaboration with an Account Director to help manage their key accounts to maximise sales opportunities within them.

What you’ll do:
  • Ownership of GP Target set by the Sales Manager.
  • Close alignment with CDW departments
  • Responsible for managing and growing a book of clients.
  • Building new business relationships using existing industry contacts.
  • Focusing on growing and developing existing clients, together with generating new business.
  • Act as the key interface between the customer and all relevant divisions
  • Work in alignment with relevant Vendors & Partners.
  • Cold calling potential customers and selling the company’s products.
  • Researching the target market and finding companies to target.
  • Building a sales pipeline to ensure a constant stream of sales.
  • Progressing towards activity targets and KPI’s set by the sales manager.
  • Creating invoices and sending out to customers following a sale.
  • Updating the CRM and inputting information on customers.
  • Following up with past CDW customers and cross selling products.
  • Following up on leads generated by other departments/Vendors.
  • Investigating and resolving queries from customers.
  • Excellent selling, communication and negotiation skills
  • Prioritising, time management and organisational skills
  • Relationship management skills 
  • Previous public sector sales experience in cold calling and lead generation would be a distinct advantage but not essential
  • Familiarity with prospecting and CRM practices along with ability to build productive business professional relationship
