What you’ll do:

 

  • A passion for Cyber Security is key and you need to be able to demonstrate an in-depth Knowledge of Security risks, trends, solutions and Managed Security Services available to help organisations reduce risk and improve security maturity
  • Collaborating as needed with UK and Global functional peers to ensure that security tools and solutions are implemented appropriately
  • Research emerging trends and ideas and evaluate new technologies
  • Develop, implement and maintain the information security safeguards and measures to enforce CDW information security policies, standards, and procedures
  • Provide regular updates to Business leadership on CDW UK and International Security Posture and ongoing initiatives
  • To secure our business and prepare for the future
  • Respond to emails about security incidents in an appropriate manor
  • Consult with internal business partners to identify network and security requirements and implement with required security controls and network standards
  • This role will be approximately 20% dedicated to project work and 80% security operational support
  • Provide level 2 support for Information Security
  • Ensure that new projects / deliverables are reviewed from a Network Engineering and InfoSec perspective and meet CDW standards.
  • Assist with Information security incident response activity
  • Assist with Global CDW initiatives as required.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and vendors
  • Assist with the delivery of commercial success while improving productivity and efficiency of technical implementations through recognition and delivery of quality, standardisation and adherence to governance
  • Attend Global Architectural review boards on behalf of Corporate IT and the Wider UK Organisation as required
  • Review vulnerabilities and make sure appropriate remediation happens in a timely manner
  • Develop, implement and maintain a strong Information Security centric focus across all CDW business areas

 

 

What you need to succeed:

Must-have:

 

  • 10+ years’ experience in Cyber Security within a technical pre-sales capacity or similar role with experience in designing complex solutions for a range and size of customers, within different verticals
  • Detailed knowledge and (if appropriate) relevant accreditations are required in the following topics from technology, marketplace and business practice perspectives:
    • A great understanding of the Cyber Security Market and key areas such as Endpoint Security (EDR / MDR), Cloud Security, Secure Access (SWG / CASB) IdAM, SIEM, Data Governance, Advisory Services and Managed Security Services
    • Strong capabilities with at least two top tier security vendors, such as Palo Alto, Cisco, Crowdstrike, Zscaler, Fortinet, Check Point or F5
    • Good knowledge in other security vendors such as Netskope, Mimecast, Proofpoint, CyberArk, Okta, Arctic Wolf and Microsoft
    • Security Vendor Accreditations will be advantageous
    • Independent and relevant certifications (such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, CEH) are advantageous
    • Commercial acumen with an awareness of the financial implications of design decisions across Capex and Opex budgets and how they affect TCO and ROI
    • Ability to lead teams through a Security journey that delivers tangible benefit quickly whilst maximising the scope and potential of an engagement
    • A passion for technology and its ability to have a positive impact on business
  • Experience of working with IT Policies, standards and procedures
  • Demonstrate experience of building, maintaining and influencing relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Able to support pre-sales bid activity, solution designs and operational teams
  • Technical experience with security solutions
  • Strong experience in compliance with NIST, PCI and ISO27001
  • Experienced in the production and maintenance of Info-sec related documentation, e.g., ISMS and infosec policies
  • Demonstrable ability to Investigate and resolve security related incidents and escalations on bids, projects and BAU
  • Able to act as the primary interface with Compliance and IT
  • Supporting the design, delivery and operation of large scale, complex IT programmes
  • Be able to communicate technically and appropriately within the business

  • Has detailed experience of IT Information Security, including public/private sector requirements
  • Has good understanding of commercial and business drivers together with strong planning, communication, and presentation skills with the capability to listen and influence and therefore have good conflict management skill
  • Is pragmatic, with the ability to balance the desire for idealised solutions against the need for rapid, low-cost delivery of service
  • Recognised as having a top class reputation within the business and has the appropriate gravitas to resolve issues quickly
  • Strong team player
